Abseiling in Israel
our country has many interesting and unique abseiling spots to offer, in great locations with great views. The Arch Cave (presented in the picture in the homepage), is a collapsed karst cave (a cave formed from the dissolution of soluble rocks, at that case – limestone), located at northern Israel, and besides a great abseiling spot with 35-45 meters (115-145 feet) of descend, it makes a great outlook on all of the western galilee. Recently, a great spot right near the old city of Jerusalem become accessible again, after being prohibited for years by the Israeli Nature and Parks Authority, highly recommended!

Caving in Israel – In addition, there are also many interesting karst caves, called ‘Hutas’ by the locals, that can be accessed only by rappelling through a small pit at the top of them, and have some magnificent ‘live’ stalagmites & stalactites. Some of these caves are very virginal, and can offer an intriguing experience. If you like rope associated recreation, you can check out our Climbing page, and also our Canyoning page.
